Dr. Mark Perry Named Foster Winner

The Alliance for Education named NOVA High School Principal, Dr. Mark Perry, their 2016 winner of the Thomas B. Foster Award for Excellence.

The award comes with a $50,000 cash grant for use at the school. For the last 16 years, Dr. Perry built a talented team of teachers dedicated to creating opportunities for students to excel. Students and staff recently surprised the principal on the steps of the school.

Thomas B. Foster was a prominent Seattle attorney who exemplified excellence in both his professional life and his role as civic leader. To honor his legacy, his family and friends established this annual award in 2000 to recognize outstanding secondary school principals in Seattle. Winners are selected by the Foster Endowment Trustees and the award is administered by the Alliance for Education.
