    SPS Recognizing Erin Okuno

Seattle Public Schools is recognizing Erin Okuno and the Southeast Seattle Education Coalition (SESEC) for being the district’s nominees for a 2016 Washington Association of School Administrators (WASA) Community Recognition Award.

Erin and SESEC were recently recognized by WASA for their outstanding work for district families and students.

Okuno, Executive Director of SESEC, frequently partners with Seattle Public Schools to engage families and improve outcomes for students. SESEC represents a coalition of community based organizations, educators, schools, parents and caregivers, and concerned community leaders who believe all children deserve a quality education regardless of where they live or life circumstances.
