Special Meeting of the Board addressing Student Assignment Transition Plan Recorded

    Special Meeting of the Board

On January 4, at the regular Board meeting, the Seattle School Board delayed the Student Assignment Transition Plan vote in order to analyze the budget implications and gather additional data and feedback from SPS staff and the community.

The Seattle School Board discussed on the 2017-18 Student Assignment Plan (SAP) on January 11, 2017 at a special meeting of the board. Because the original SAP vote would have been televised, Seattle Public Schools provided a live broadcast for the January 11 meeting. Discussion and development of the 2017-18 budget was also on the meeting agenda. The recorded meeting can be viewed below. The session was also broadcast on cable channel 26.

If you would like to comment and or provide feedback on the original SAP or the Board amendments (VIII.C.4) please contact the Board directly at schoolboard@seattleschools.org (School Board and SPS leadership team) or spsdirectors@seattleschools.org (SPS School Board members).
