Seattle Public Schools is in the process of changing the way we track vaccination records and will begin using an online immunization system called School Module.

This system, created by the Washington State Department of Health, allows us to view your child’s immunization record quickly and determine if your child has all the required vaccines needed for school.

Seattle Public Schools values the health of each and every student. As necessary by state law, we ensure students are up-to-date with required vaccines, so they are protected from disease and come ready to learn.

Some of the benefits of changing our practice are:

  • More accurate records
  • Quicker follow up with you and your child for incomplete immunization records

If your child was born and vaccinated in Washington, your child’s records are already in the state system, and can be accessed by School Module. You can access your child’s records at any time by registering for MyIR on the Washington State's Authorized Record Access System website.

For those students whose immunizations records are NOT in the state database, the district will be conducting the necessary data entry to migrate the information into the state registry database.

As we move to this new record-keeping system, the school nurse may ask you for additional information about your child’s immunization dates.
