Many of our teachers have begun to use our new “learning management system,” called Schoology, and families can access it through our Student Portal. Schoology is designed to be more interactive than our previous teacher pages; in fact, it looks a bit like a popular social network.
As with our previous teacher pages, teachers may post assignments, messages and calendar items, but Schoology also allows for two-way conversations, class discussions and interactive sharing of links and files with students, families and fellow teachers. It can be used for all grade levels.
Students will be registered automatically to their teachers’ courses, and will log on with their school username and password. If a student’s teacher chooses to use Schoology, parents and guardians can log in to monitor assignments and view resources. Just click Student Portal on our homepage. Families should check with a student’s teacher to ensure he or she is using Schoology. Use is optional for our teaching staff.
