    Seattle Public Schools State of the District

    Seattle Public Schools will hold its annual State of the District next Thursday, Nov. 5 at 1 p.m. Superintendent Nyland will provide thoughts on his first year with the district. He will also discuss successes, challenges and opportunities to ensure excellence and equity, support for schools and strengthening community engagement.

     

    Community-based partners are also invited to speak at the event.  They will talk about ongoing collaborations with the district including working together to close the opportunity gap for all students.

     

    SPS students including Seattle’s first youth poet Laureate and the John Rogers Elementary Otters Choir will perform.

     

    The State of the District is free and open to the public.*
