Our department coordinates with our middle and high schools to run this valuable portion of a student’s extracurricular life.
Our Mission, Vision, and Core Values
Mission: The Athletic Department is committed to providing high-quality educational based athletic programs and learning experiences, in order to engage and enhance the holistic growth of students.
Vision Statement: Students that participate in our educational based athletic programs will develop skills that help them in college, career and life.
Values: Within our athletic program participation, there are three E’s:
- Education: Life skills
- Excellence: Personal and athletics
- Ethos: Community
Seattle Public Schools (SPS) and the City of Seattle are building on their longstanding partnership by collaborating on the replacement of the school district’s Memorial Stadium.
SPS will continue to own the stadium and retain priority scheduled use of the venue, which will adhere to all athletic league standards.
