July Safety Training at Mercer

Summary: In July, Seattle Police Department will provide a training to their team at a currently unoccupied school.

This summer, we are partnering with the Seattle Police Department (SPD) to provide a training location at Mercer International Middle School, which is currently unoccupied.

The training will begin in mid-July and conclude by the end of the month. The SPD is facilitating this training, which primarily will be conducted inside the building during daylight hours. Mercer school staff and students will not be present during this training.

The training will focus on safety protocols, such as those related to an emergency or a hazardous situation. They have been carefully coordinated to minimize disruption to the community.

During the training, signs will be posted outside the school. You may observe an increased presence of law enforcement personnel and vehicles.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the local authorities or SPS Security at 206-252-0707.
