Schools Earning the Washington School Recognition
The State Board of Education (SBE), Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) and the Educational Opportunity Gap Oversight and Accountability Committee (EOGOAC) have named 27 schools in Seattle Public Schools for outstanding achievement.
The Washington School Recognition Program honors K–12 public schools across the state for closing opportunity gaps and for students’ growth and academic achievement.
- Alan T. Sugiyama High School: Growth for one or more student groups
- Cascadia Elementary: Achievement for the whole school
- Catharine Blaine K-8: Achievement for the whole school
- Cedar Park Elementary: Achievement for the whole school
- Coe Elementary: Achievement for the whole school
- Decatur Elementary: Achievement for the whole school
- Dunlap Elementary: Closing Gaps for one or more student groups
- Gatewood Elementary: Growth for one or more student groups
- Genesee Hill Elementary: Achievement for the whole school
- Greenwood Elementary: Growth for one or more student groups and achievement for the whole school

Recognized schools will receive a banner to display in their buildings. The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) partners with the State Board of Education (SBE) and Educational Opportunity Gap Oversight and Accountability Committee (EOGOAC) to identify and recognize schools for the program.
