- Adoption of School Board Resolution No. 2021/22-13, urging the Washington State Board of Health to begin review of the COVID-19 vaccination for addition to the list of immunizations that students must receive before attending school, once fully approved by the Food and Drug Administration and recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices Approval of this item would adopt Board Resolution No. 2021/22-13, as attached to the Board Action Report. - Approval of the 2022 State Legislative Agenda Approval of this item would adopt the 2022 Legislative Agenda, as attached to the Board action report. (Updated Since Introduction)
- Approval of the 2021-22 Superintendent Evaluation Documents (Exec, Oct 13, for approval) Approval of this item would approve the 2021-22 Superintendent Evaluation documents, as attached to the Board Action Report.
- Approval of Resolution 2021/22-11, Certification of Excess Levies and Calculation of General Fund Levy Rollback for 2022 (A&F, Oct 11, for approval) Approval of this item would adopt Resolution 2021/22-11, Certifying Excess Levies and Calculation of the General Fund Levy Rollback for 2022, as attached to the Board Action report. - Authorization to execute a contract with an executive search firm to conduct a superintendent search Approval of this item would authorize the Board President to execute a contract on the district’s behalf with (Firm) for the purpose of conducting a superintendent search. (Updated 11/16/2021)
- Amend contracts awarded under RFP112041 Commodity Foods, RFQ012153 Fresh Produce, and Bid No. B052181 Commercial Food Products and Supplies (Ops, Nov 4, for approval) Approval of this item would authorize the Superintendent to amend contracts awarded under RFP112041, RFQ012153, and Bid No. B052181 for food, produce, and supplies with any minor additions, deletions, and modifications deemed necessary by the Superintendent, and to take any necessary actions to implement the contracts. Immediate action is in the best interest of the district. (Introduction & Action)

The last-minute school closure of Nov 12 was wildly disruptive to students and families, and could well occur again. Will the district consider an “all hands on deck” approach, similar to the approach of the Snohomish and Lake Washington districts, to keep schools open? If not, why not? |

- Classified Mentorship Program Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) (Exec, Nov 10, for approval) Approval of this item would approve the Classified Mentorship Program MOA as attached to the School Board Action Report.
- Amendment and renaming of Board Policy No. 1822, Training & Professional Development for Board Members/Participation in School Directors’ Association; amendment of Board Policy No. 1112, Board Member Orientation; and repeal of Board Policy No. 1805, Open Government Trainings (Exec, Nov 10, for approval) Approval of this item would amend Board Policy No. 1112, Board Member Orientation, as attached to the Board Action Report; amend and rename Board Policy No. 1822, Training & Professional Development for Board Members/Participation in School Directors’ Association, as attached to the Board Action Report; and repeal Board Policy No. 1805, Open Government Trainings.
- Acceptance of Seattle University grant funding for the 2021 – 2022 school year for the central Seattle school and neighborhood network (SSC&I, Nov 9, for consideration) Approval of this item would authorize the Superintendent to accept grant funds from Seattle University in the amount of $300,000 through the end of the 2021-2022 school year for the creation of a school, family, and community network to support up to six elementary schools.
- Annual Approval of Schools per WAC 180-16-220 (SSC&I, Nov 9, for consideration) Approval of this item would approve each school within the District as having a school improvement plan that is data driven, promotes a positive impact on student learning, and includes a continuous improvement process, as required by WAC 180-16-220.
