Computer Science Education Week December 9-13

December is Regional Careers and Computer Science Month!

Computer Science affects every career pathway and our daily lives. Seattle Public Schools will celebrate Computer Science Education Week December 9-13 with Google, MineCraft, Amazon, Code.org, and Microsoft volunteers joining classrooms to lead coding activities and talk about computer science and STEM careers with students.

Class Chats – Bring an Amazon professional to your classroom for a “Class Chat.” They will share their unique journey and experiences working in tech with your students.

Alexa in Space Tour – From launchpad to lunar orbit, discover how Amazon, Lockheed Martin, and Webex are testing new technology that could help future astronauts solve challenges of deep space.

The Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship awards 400 high school seniors each year with a $40,000 scholarship for college, plus a guaranteed paid internship at Amazon.
