Two critical school levies will be on the February 12, 2019 ballot, the Educational Programs and Operations (EP & O) levy and the Building Excellence V (BEX V) Capital Levy.

BEX V replaces or modernizes eight aging schools: Rainier Beach High School, Mercer International Middle School, Alki Elementary, Kimball Elementary, Montlake Elementary, Northgate Elementary, John Rogers Elementary, and Viewlands Elementary. BEX V, if approved by voters, will also supported an addition to West Seattle Elementary.
